Reflecting on an inspiring STEM Conference! 🌐
At the end of November, the UNESCO Chair of UNSTPB actively participated in STEM Alliance Conference – Unleashing the potential of STEM education in South-East Europe and the Mediterranean, organized by UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe in Venice. By engaging in this event we contributed to the advancement of the STEM education in South-East Europe and the Mediterranean.
🌍 The event brought together stakeholders from 14 countries, including STEM-related UNESCO Chairs, national authorities, and representatives of the UNESCO Associated School Network, to collectively shape the future of STEM education in the region. Together, we formulated operational policy recommendations and key actions to advance STEM education for regional and national contexts, emphasising the importance of a strong STEM Alliance to advance STEM education and achieve SDGs in the region.📚👩🔬🔬
🔍 The fast paced changes of the dynamic landscape of Industrial Revolution 4.0, education becomes increasingly vital as it equips students with the skills to embrace emerging technologies and tackle real-world challenges.
🌐 During the conference, we explored innovative approaches in STEM curriculum development and teaching methods. The integration of Arts and other disciplines in the STEAM concept was a key highlight, fostering creativity and encouraging out-of-the-box thinking among the youth.
🌐 The insights and outcomes from our discussions served as a foundation for the STEM Road Map 2030, paving the way for a future where STEM education is synonymous with inclusivity, innovation, and excellence.
